The Working Definitions of UNDP:
The UNDP full form is United Nations Development Programme, the corporate programming strategies of UNDP serve to position UNDP in relation to its partners, substitute service providers, and stakeholders by outlining the Organization’s position and strategy in relation to a work area specified in the Strategic Plan or in a relevant UN-wide policy or mandate. In addition to defining priorities and guiding principles for UNDP’s work, a programmatic strategy also serves as a framework for execution through policy and programme assistance. Examples of programmatic strategies at the United Nation Development Programme include (draught) plans for the organization’s assistance in carrying out the Post-2015 Development Agenda, the strategy for inclusive and sustainable urbanization, the South-South cooperation strategy, and several others.
A theory of change, a map of UNDP work in the area where such work is already occurring, a synthesis of existing and emerging development concerns, and a list of the important national, regional, and/or global stakeholders should all be included in the articulation of a programming plan. In addition, it should describe the necessary linkages and/or synergies. It should address gender equality, capacity development, collaborations, resource availability, and other cross-cutting issues pertinent to the efficacy of development in the work area.
The Operational Strategies of UNDP:

Operational strategies should be in line with the priorities listed in the Strategic Plan for UNDP. They help to outline the overall strategy for putting institutional effectiveness priorities that have been determined by the company into action, and they may be changed or altered to take into account new opportunities and lessons learned.
