The NIC full form is the National Informatics Center, which functions under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. They are the technology partners of the Government of India. It was launched in 1976 with the main objective to offer technology-driven solutions to central and state governments in various aspects of development.
Its ultra-modern IT infrastructure involves Multi-Gigabit PAN India Network NICNET, Email and Messaging Services, Command and Control Center, Multi-layered GIS-based Platform National Knowledge Network, National Data Centers, National Cloud, Video Conferencing, Domain Registration, and Webcast.

Blockchain Technology:
The Center of Excellence in Blockchain Technology functions as a coordinated, inter-operable blockchain ecosystem all over the country. Determined to promote stronger collaboration between the government, public and private sectors, CoE in Blockchain Technology enables the use of blockchain technologies and facilitates quick adaptation and onboarding of solutions.
Artificial Intelligence:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the reproduction of human analytic processes by machines. AI automates processes and aims to primate Human Intelligence by applying coherent Computing (simulation of Human thought processes) to Information Technology Systems. It includes programming for Knowledge, Learning, Planning & Automating Processes, Reasoning, and Problem Solving. The basic part of AI is Knowledge Engineering, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Machine Perception.
Data Analytics:
The Center of Excellence for Data Analytics (CEDA) was launched in 2018, with the sole vision of kick-starting and fast-tracking the acceptance of advanced analytics and machine learning ability within the Government. It helps numerous NIC Full form is National Informatics Center Departments to:

- Analyze the data sets that are needed to meet the analytical requirements.
- Regulate access to the related data sources (both inside as well as outside the Government)
