The Full form of NATO is North Atlantic Treaty Organization which is also referred to as the North Atlantic Alliance. This Treaty is an intergovernmental military alliance based on the North Atlantic Treaty which was signed on April 4, 1949. This organization represents a system of collective defense, where its member states agree on mutual defense in the supervision of an attack by a non-member third-external party.
